My newest project: humanizing ponies!!!!

I know, everyone does it, and it's kind a bandwagon by now, but.. BUT!
My point is to capture them personality wise, both in clothing AND body-shape, without adding the so known-features, such as wings or horns.

My first victim is Twilight.
For a geeky girl, I added her short hair; as a geeky girl myself I KNOW how hard to look after your goddamn hair while studies.
She got a big butt for a simple reason: she's always sitting on her bum, reading so despite her natural skinnyness, her ass got bigger. Yeah.
Her clothes are inspired by the schoolgirl-style. No heels, just flats, so she won't fell off. Also, I think she has that one pair of shoes, because she doesn't give a damn what is she wearing. :)
(My guiltiest pleasure is collecting shoes, so for me, having only one pair of shoes is OMG TEH HORROR! D: )

Hope you like it. :)

Very nice, I like how you made her kinda geeky, yet pretty, as well. :) It's one of the better humanizations I've seen of her. I especially like the facial expressions, and outfits you gave her. The "book hugging" sketch is cute and funny to. :D (I love how you include sketches on these.)

I also like how her race/nationality looks kinda ambiguous, (though I dunno if that was intentional) considering I've seen a tiny amount of fans debate on if a human version of her should be black, white, tan, Indian, Asian, Spanish, or whatever.
(Though, personally that doesn't really matter to me. It's a tiny bit "racist" to say she should be "this or that" due to her personality.)

Your remark about her butt made me laugh, (lol) though I don't think it looks that big personally. (Maybe 'cause I'm used to hangin' out with chubby gals. lol)

Thank you, this long, precise comment just made my day!

Her ambiguous look was completely unintentional, but I'm so glad you pointed it out. It really made me think about the topic. I agree with you that she shouldn't be claimed to be this or that, she's just a pony, humanized afterall, depending on the artists' creativity. :)

And yeah, I know what you mean by her butt... I usually draw skinny characters, so it was a challenge to draw her bigger bum than my usual style. But it was a refreshment. :)

Thanks again for your comment, you rock! :horns:
